In a statement, organizer Matchroom Pool said the duo “were forced to withdraw due to travel issues.”

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Noppon Saengkham of Thailand replaced Biado and Reyes in the tournament that has a total prize pot of $250,000 (around P12.5 million).

The Philippines last won the tournament in 2013 courtesy of Dennis Orcollo and Lee Vann Corteza.

Reyes and Django Bustamante won it twice – in the 2006 inaugural staging in Wales and in 2009 when it was held in Quezon City.

In 2019, Biado finished second with Jeff De Luna against eventual winner Mario He and Albin Ouschan.

Biado and Reyes are coming off from medal finishes in the 31st Southeast Astian Games, with Biado winning the men’s 10-ball gold medal and Reyes claiming bronze in the men’s one-cushion carom.
