BACOLOD CITY – Seven persons were arrested while a suspected drug den was dismantled by authorities in separate buy-bust operations here last Monday and Tuesday.

The local police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Negros Occidental seized an estimated P173,000 worth of suspected shabu in the two operations.

On Tuesday, Joemarie Mahusay, 40; Ariel Aranilla, 24; Ericson Mabaga, 26, all residents of Barangay Bata here; and Romelito Malinao, 31, of Barangay Felisa, this city, were arrested in Barangay Bata.

Personnel of the Police Station 5 confiscated from them about 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P105,000, the P1,500 marked money, and some drug paraphernalia.

A day prior to that operation, PDEA agents also raided a suspected drug den in Barangay 1 and arrested three individuals. Among those arrested was alleged drug den maintainer Fanny Villecojer, 51, of Davao del Sur.

This drug sting resulted in the recovery of about 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P68,000, improvised tooters, and lighters.
