BOC destroys over P4.6M worth of abandoned, forfeited goods


The Bureau of Customs- Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has destroyed more than P4.6 million worth of abandoned and forfeited goods.

They consist of various goods that include expired and unregistered food items, used UV lamps, prohibited Chinese medicines and counterfeit cigarettes.

All goods underwent condemnation through pyrolysis under the supervision of BOC-NAIA’s Auction and Cargo Disposal Division.

In her statement, District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan stressed the importance of preventing the entry of prohibited goods especially medicines and food products.
