Malacañang reporters no comment yet on planned inclusion of vloggers to cover Marcos Jr.

Reporters covering Malacañang and the President have no comment yet about the possible accreditation of vloggers to do the functions of professional journalists by covering the highest government office in the country under the Marcos Jr. administration.

In a statement Wednesday, the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC), an association of reporters covering Malacañang and attached agencies, said it "will defer comment on the matter until the details of the proposed policy are threshed out by the incoming PCOO (Presidential Communications Operations Office) leadership."

The remark came after incoming PCOO chief Trixie Cruz-Angeles, a vlogger herself, said her leadership is planning to push "for the accreditation of vloggers to be invited to some of the briefings, especially those conducted by the president-elect ."

"We're also looking at things like opening up discourse and looking at issues of disinformation that seem to be a hot-button topic nowadays," she also said in a Laging Handa briefing.
