Remulla: Slight uptick in Covid-19 cases among Cavite youth seen

CAVITE - Governor Jonvic Remulla reminded his constituents to follow the minimum health protocols amid the slight increase in Covid-19 cases mostly among the youth.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, May 31, Remulla said the slight increase in Covid-19 cases is not within "crisis level."

"From five a day, ay ngayon umaabot tayo sa 25 kada araw (now, we are reaching 25 cases per day)," the governor said.

"Dulot nang pagwala sa hawla ay karamihan ng tinatamaan ay mga bata. Dulot ito nang sabik na makalabas, basketball, parties, at mag-gimmik (Most patients are the youth. This is a result of them being excited to go out, play basketball, party, and have fun)."

Remulla asked his constituents to wear face masks, observe proper hygiene, and get their Covid-19 vaccine booster shots.

Along with his Covid-19 reminders, Remulla said he is back on social media after laying low for two months amid the heat of the campaign leading up to the elections.

"Enough with the nastiness, bitterness, gloating, and heartbreak. It's back to work, it's time to serve," Remulla said.
