The certified first aiders were distributed in the National Capital Region (10,029), Northern Luzon (1,788), Central Luzon (1,564), Southern Tagalog (2,650), Bicol Region (131), Visayas (1,381), and Mindanao (3,467). First aid training is a requirement of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) among employers and the PRC is one of the accredited training providers.

The training participants are expected to take the DOLE-prescribed course depending on the risk level of their nature of work and the number of employees in their workplace.

The humanitarian organization also provides Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training, Occupational First Aid and BLS CPR/AED Training, and Emergency First Aid Training all of which are recognized by DOLE.
