Blacklist is knocking on the Finals door anew as it looks to extend its SEA region dominance since it won the CODM World Championship East Finals last year after a smooth sailing run so far in the group stage and in the playoffs.

Out to put the clamps on the world champions, however, is arch-rival Omega, who, likewise, had a near-perfect run in the tournament highlighted by its 3-1 victory over Singaporean crew and Worlds East Finals runner-up ALMGHTY in the upper bracket semis.

Omega swept its group stage with a neat 6-0 record, only dropping two maps along the way before dominating Malaysian crew 21 Huntsmen, 3-0, in the upper bracket first round.

Blacklist also put up a resounding performance in the group stage after topping its pool with a perfect 6-0 record, only dropping a map in the process. It then stomped Filipino team Tyrant Esports before making quick work of another compatriot in M420 Low Kings in the upper bracket semis to set up the titanic all-Filipino clash against Omega.

Should Blacklist wins, it will be its sixth straight Finals appearance across six tournaments it participated in since December last year.

Another title conquest would also put Blacklist as one of the most dominant CODM teams to date having won four straight titles this year already – PH Invitational Winter 2021, Axe Genesis Tournament, Garena Masters Season 1 and Garena Invitational 2022.
