Parañaque LGU receives donation of 2,000 doses of Moderna vaccines


The Parañaque city government received a donation of 2,000 doses of Moderna vaccines from Aboitiz Foundation Inc. on Thursday, May 26.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez and Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, medical director of Ospital ng Parañaque (OSPAR) 1 and 2, received the Moderna vaccines during the turnover ceremony held at the Mayor’s Office.

Olivarez thanked the representatives of Aboitiz Foundation Inc. who delivered the vaccines and said the donation is a big help to the city government’s fight against Covid-19.

The mayor is grateful that the city government continues to receive donations of vaccines from private sectors.

Olivarez said last week that the city government received 7,230 donation of Moderna vaccines from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Employees’ Association Inc. headed by its president Dr, Paul Youankee.

He said the City Health Office (CHO) reported to him on May 25 that 11 communities in the city were already declared Covid-19- free.

The remaining communities with Covid-19 cases are Barangays Don Bosco with three ; BF Homes, San Antonio both with two cases; San Dionisio, Vitales, and another barangay with one case each.

The city government recorded six new cases, bringing the total number of active cases to 10.
