"It would be appropriate to say that I would be nominating our BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) President Ben Diokno for the position of secretary of finance ," Marcos said in a Facebook live interview with handpicked news networks.

"He has already agreed, nag-usap kami (we've talked). He has agreed," he said of Diokno.

"His place in BSP will be taken by Philip Medalla who will take on his unexpired term....which in this case is until July," he added.

Marcos continued: "I've asked Fred Pascual to head the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) and he has agreed."

The President-elect mentioned another nominee, this time for the position of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) chief.

"I'm intending to nominate Manny Bonoan for the Department of Public Works and Highways. He has spent almost his entire professional life in the DPWH, I know him very well, I know he will do a good job."

Marcos said later in the interview that he has received "many applications" for the position of Bureau of Customs (BOC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) chief.

He said he would immediately call for a Cabinet meeting on July 1, the day after his inauguration.

"I really want to hit the ground running," Marcos said.
