Palawan will continue to experience cloudy skies, scattered rain showers, and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat,” while the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, May 24.

PAGASA advised those in Palawan to stay vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides because of moderate to heavy monsoon rains.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, isolated rain showers, or thunderstorms.

PAGASA also advised the public to stay vigilant because of the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The western section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds, while its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Moderate winds are expected to prevail over extreme northern Luzon, while its coastal waters will be moderate.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
