Last May 18, Korean media outlet Kukmin Ilbo reported that Tag was admitted to a hospital in Gangnam, Seoul due to his liver condition.

Quoting a source from Tag’s side, the report stated that Tag had been struggling with his physical condition since May 16.

It added that during the checkup, Tag was informed by the medical staff that “there is a possibility of receiving a liver transplant in the worst case due to high liver levels.”

Woollim denied the report, saying, “It is not a critical situation right now or a liver transplantation operation is necessary.”

“Elevated liver enzymes often indicate inflammation or damage to cells in the liver. Most of the time, elevated liver enzymes don’t signal a chronic, serious liver problem. Many diseases and conditions can contribute to elevated liver enzymes,” according to the Mayo Clinic website.

In the latest announcement, Woollim Entertainment said, “First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to the fans who always send generous love to Golden Child. We would like to inform fans about Golden Child member Tag’s health status and future activities.”

“Tag was admitted to a general hospital on the morning of the 18th based on the opinion of a specialist due to a difficult condition recently and performed a detailed examination,” it said.

It added, “The initial examination diagnosed a poor liver condition, but the results of the examination and health condition have improved a lot due to continuous examination and treatment by the medical staff.“

“However, in accordance with the recommendations of the medical staff and the judgment that the stability of Tag is our priority, we plan to do our best to recover for the time being,” it added.

The agency said, “In the future, Golden Child’s schedule, including the US tour, will be conducted with an eight-member system for the time being. We apologize again for causing concern to many fans with this sudden news. We will do our best for the quick recovery of Tag.”
