Real-life couple Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte made their way to the red carpet and special screening of their first teleserye "Love In 40 Days."

Under Dreamscape Productions, “Love In 40 Days” is a romantic comedy series that revolves around the story of Edward (Ronnie Alonte) and Jane (Loisa Andalio). The show also features veteran stars Leo Martinez, Lotlot De Leon, Mylene Dizon, and Ana Abad-Santos. It is directed by Emmanuel Palo and Jojo Saguin.

Loisa shared how she can relate to Jane's character in real life.

"Kasi bilang si Jane, Loisa naman breadwinner din ng family, and parehas din kaming pinagpalit, parehas din broken family. Pero maraming kaming pinagkakaparehas ni Jane," said Loisa during the press conference after the acreening.

"Determinado sa trabaho, gagawin mo lahat para sa pamilya mo, kahit mawala na sayo basta mabigay mo lahat sa family mo, yung kailangan nila and tingin ko kaya naging madali din kahit papaano," she added.

With the real-life couple being in the lead for the first time in a teleserye, directors Jojo and Emmanuel gave their thoughts about working with Loisa and Ronnie.

"With Loisa kasi, may maturity siya regarding sa acting, tapos yung kay Ronnie kasi nageffort talaga siya to enhance his acting capabilities kasi siguro dahil sa pressured, kasi yung mga ibang tao kasi parang kaya ba ni Ronnie yan? Pero I'm telling you ibang Ronnie Alonte ang makikita niyo dito," said Jojo.

"With Ronnie and Loisa, grabe yung binuhos na effort nila dito, even before we started, after pitching the project to them. Nag workshop sila, via Zoom tapos face to face, Nakakapagod pero nakakaproud din kasi nakita ko na sila sa screen," Emmanuel said.

"Love In 40 Days" will premiere on May 30. (Carissa Alcantara)
