The separate criminal complaints were submitted to the Department of Justice for review and filing before the Court of Tax Appeals.

Quezon City Revenue Regional Director Albino M. Galanza said he recommended the filing of tax evasion cases to BIR Commissioner Caesar R. Dulay after the said taxpayers allegedly ignored notices to settle the old accounts, including preliminary and final assessment letters.

They respondents were named as follows: Beauty and Wellness Store of Project 3, CMP Federal Security Agency of Cubao, Golden Pyramid Trading and Resources of Manresa, Roy Juls Emission Center of Lourdes, Weigh Less Center of Paligsahan, Wide Sales Manufacturing of San Francisco Del Monte and Zhazhiki Import and Export of Panay Avenue.

The lone single proprietor was identified as Lim Li Bryan Uy, operator of BNYBL RTW Sales Depot of Novaliches.

The tax liabilities covered mostly income and value-added taxes incurred in 2016 and prior years.
