The Las Piñas City government said around 600 children were given nutritious food during its feeding program on Thursday, May 19.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the feeding program dubbed “Kusina ng Las Piñas” was held at Talon 3, Barangay Elias Aldana.
Aguilar said the food truck project is a joint initiative of the Office of the Mayor, Vice-Mayor April Aguilar, and the City Council. It was supervised by the personnel of the City Nutrition Office under Dr. Julio Javier.
The mayor said the nutritious “creamy veggie macaroni soup” served to the children was prepared by nutritionists, dietitians and barangay nutrition scholars of the city.
Aguilar said the food truck has been going around in city’s 20 barangays to ensure that children were given proper nutrition.
