The Lady Bulldogs led by as many as eight points in the fourth and final frame, 18-10, before Alyssa Solomon and Michaela Belen joined forces on the offense to hold off the Golden Tigresses.

Solomon soared for the kill before Ysa Jimenez's committed an attack error as the ball did not go over the net which enabled NU to hold a firm grip on its solo lead at 5-0.

Solomon topscored for NU with 17 points built on two service aces and 15 spikes, Belen hammered down 16 points all coming from attacks, Sheena Toring and Ivy Lacsina combined for seven block points and scored 13 and 11 points, respetively, and Princess Robles chipped in 10 markers.

The Tigresses fought back in the third set as Kecelyn Galdones sparked a quick UST run with a service ace, 22-21, before the Lady Bulldogs suffered from three straight attack errors.

Eya Laure once again paced the Tigresses, who slipped to a 3-2 record, with 17 attacks and a block for 18 points while Camille Victoria added nine markers.
