Mayor Olivarez joins CENRO in post-election cleanup

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez joined members of the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) in conducting “Oplan Baklas Election Paraphernalia” or post-election cleanup in the city on Thursday, May 12.

CENRO chief Bernie Amurao said the mayor joined them in conducting clearing operations along the stretch of Dona Soledad in Barangay Don Bosco.

Amurao said the day after the conduct of elections on Monday, May 9, they immediately conducted clearing operations and have already collected 14 garbage trucks full of election paraphernalia equivalent to 210 tons.

He said Olivarez, who wanted to maintain cleanliness around the city, joined and worked with them in removing all the election paraphernalia around the city.

The CENRO chief said the collected election paraphernalia were given to some barangays with livelihood programs using recyclable waste materials.
