Despite wearing a face mask as part of the ongoing protocol against Covid-19, Baguilat was visibly happy as he twirled and shook his hips and arms while the machine ate his ballot on Monday morning.

This moment was captured in a video posted on his Twitter account.

"Habang pumapasok sa VCM my ballot, nag-sayaw-sayaw para madagdagan boto hehe (While my ballot was entering the VCM, I did a little dance to add more votes hehe)," he jested.

The purple-wearing lawmaker cast his vote at Poblacion, Kiangan in Ifugao at around 11:55 a.m.

"Voted at Poblacion, Kiangan, Ifugao at precinct 2-A in a school at the foot of Mt. Atade where the spirits of our forefathers abound," Baguilat said.

Filipino Twitter users quickly replied to Baguilat's tweet, assuring the former governor that he had their votes.

Baguilat is running under the slate of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, who are running for president and vice-president, respectively.

He was accompanied by his "dogs, friends, and family" when he voted on Monday.
