Korean star Kim Seon-ho writes letter to fans: ‘Thank you for staying by my side’

Korean actor Kim Seon-ho of the hit drama “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” wrote a long letter to fans to express his feeling about what happened last year and to thank them for their continued support.

To mark his 36th birthday on May 8, Kim Seon-ho posted a message on Instagram. In addition, he also uploaded a letter to his fan café.

After figuring in an issue involving his former girlfriend last October, Kim Seon-ho has resumed his career and is currently filming the movie “Sad Tropics.”

On his fan cafe, Kim Seon-ho wrote, "It feels like summer already. Time really flies. I still can't decide―even at the moment of writing this―if I'm too late or how I should start this letter off,” SBS News reported.

"Sometimes, a month felt like a year while there were other times I couldn't follow up with the time that has passed me by. That made me hard to manage my emotions. I believe you would have gone through the same because of me,” he said.

The actor added, “I'm sorry that I have made you to go through a hard time due to my shortfalls. I know how hard it is to heal after getting heartbroken. I'm sincerely sorry to those who supported me because I fear that you would have a scar on your heart."

"Thanks to you, however, my time is slowly on track. I'm a little hesitant about how this letter will be understood by you, but I hope everyone who is supporting me would have a time that goes by on your terms; not too fast or not too slow," he said.

He told fans that "I will cherish every single one of your supportive messages from Korea and abroad, so that I can become a better actor and a person.”

“I once again apologize, and I hope you are always happy and healthy. Thank you for staying by my side, and I won't leave you waiting too long," he said.

On Oct. 17, the day that the last episode of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” aired, his former girlfriend posted online and made accusations against him.

A few days later, the woman updated his post and said, “I am sorry that my writing has caused unintentional damage to many people. There was a time when both he and I truly loved each other but I also feel bad to see him collapse in an instant due to some of my extreme posts. I received an apology from him and it seems that there was a misunderstanding between us.”
