Senatorial candidate and Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero and his wife, social media celebrity and actress Heart Evangelista-Escudero were among the early voters in Sorsogon City.
Escudero the only incumbent provincial chief executive who is running for senator. He and his wife voted at the Buhatan Integrated National School in this province, queued at the polling place as early as 5:45 a.m. and was among the first to enter their designated precinct.
The couple wore white colored shirt and dress, respectively, and were done voting in seven minutes.
Escudero said he would focus on giving more autonomy to local government units (LGUs), ensure the judicious and wise utilization of the annual budget, and help transition the pandemic-weary economy to recovery, among others, should he make a successful Senate comeback.
