The Lady Spikers made sure that there will be no extended sets after using a strong third frame to easily create a separation from the Lady Falcons.

Alleiah Malaluan fired 10 attacks for 12 points while Jolina Dela Cruz scored all her 12 points off spikes.

De La Salle uncorked a commanding 8-0 run capped by an attack error from Adamson's Aliah Marce en route to a 10-point cushion, 23-13.

The Lady Spikers also capitalized on the Lady Falcons' rotational error after a timeout which enabled Thea Gagate, Baby Jyne Soreno, and Malaluan to take charge.

Adamson halted the momentum for a while but Malaluan fired an off-the-block hit before Marce's hit went too short and did not go over the net as the Lady Spikers maintained a perfect 2-0 record.

"Medyo mabagal pa rin ang simula pero Adamson also showed kung ano 'yong magagawa nila sa offense so nacha-challenge rin talaga even the blocking,” said assistant coach Benson Bocboc. "Siguro the latter part, nilakasan na nila 'yong palo nila so nakakapwesto na kami sa blocking. Pero nung una medyo nangangapa pa rin talaga."

The Lady Spikers also pulled away late in the second frame after unloading a 6-1 blitz to secure the set.

May Ann Nuique and Lucille May Almonte paced Adamson with 12 points apiece.

De La Salle and National University, sharing a 2-0 record, battle on Tuesday, May 10 at their 4 p.m. encounter while Adamson takes on reigning champion Ateneo, which also remained winless in two games, at 6 p.m.
