Public school teacher nabbed for allegedly selling illegal drugs in Isabela


CORDON, Isabela – A public school teacher was arrested by anti-narcotics units for allegedly selling illegal drugs during a buy-bust on Thursday in Brgy. Malapat in this town.

The suspect was identified as Drepol Palpallatoc , 38, an elementary public school teacher, and a resident of Brgy. Magsaysay, Cordon, Isabela.

He was caught selling one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in consideration of P5,000 to a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent who posed as a buyer during a buy-bust operation along Sta. Maria St., corner San Mariano St in Barangay Malapat.

“May mga iba na naglie low tapos maging active sila uli, akala siguro hindi na sila mamatyagan ng authorities,” a PDEA staff said.

Also confiscated from him were a unit of OPPO android cellular phone and one unit violet motorcycle.

On Monday, a public school teacher was also nabbed by PDEA Cagayan operatives and Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), at Zone 2, Redondo, Iguig, Cagayan.

The suspect, Felipe Pamittan Sedano Jr, 52, and resident of Malabbac, Iguig, Cagayan was considered a high value target, being a government employee.

It was gathered that the arrested Cagayan school teacher had many loans and was also involved in gambling, reasons why he got involved in the illegal drug trade.
