Aspiring president Senator Manny Pacquiao on Friday shrugged off the Commission on Elections (Comelec)'s ruling that recognizes the PDP-Laban Cusi faction as "true and official."

Pacquiao, a member of PDP-Laban's Pimentel wing, said he is now more focused on wooing his supporters to ensure his victory in the upcoming elections.

"Sa ngayon nasa kalagitnaan tayo ng patapos ng pagkampanya natin at hindi yan ang iniisip natin (Now that the campaign season is about to end, we won't think of that)," he said Friday.

"Hayaan na muna natin si Koko na sumagot diyan. Kung ano man ang problema, 'yung mga PDP members na naniniwala sa aming kakayahan ay hindi namin siya papabayaan (Let Koko answer that. Whatever the problem is, PDP members who believe in our capacity won't neglect us)," he added. Pacquiao said adding that the Comelec ruling will be challenged before the Supreme Court after the May elections.

Pacquiao also said the latest Comelec ruling does not hold much weight on his candidacy, considering that he is running under another political party, PROMDI.

In an earlier statement, Senator Koko Pimentel, leader of his own wing in the PDP-Laban, rejected Comelec's resolution. He said the group would file a motion for consideration as the ruling is not yet final and executory.
