CEB adds passenger capacity to Legazpi

Cebu Pacific (CEB) resumed its operations at the Bicol International Airport (BIA) starting this month and boosted its passenger capacity to Legaspi for the summer peak travel period by using Airbus aircraft.

CEB currently flies up to five times daily on the Manila – Legazpi – Manila route.

It also operates flights between Cebu and Legazpi up to four times weekly, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

On May 1, CEB flight 5J 321, an Airbus 320, departed Manila at 3:40am, and landed at the Bicol International Airport at 4:39 am. It was welcomed with a water cannon salute.

“Since the new airport opened in October last year, we have been operating our 78-seater ATR or turbo propeller type aircraft," remarked Xander Lao, CEB Chief Commercial Officer.

"The addition of jet flights will enable CEB to serve more passengers with our Airbus fleet while continuously contributing to tourism and economic growth of the Bicol region,” he added.

The airline operates the widest domestic network covering 34 destinations, on top of its 14 international destinations.

Its 76-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, includes two dedicated ATR freighters.

CEB continues to offer its guaranteed low fares to stimulate travel across its domestic network.
