Red Cross deploys ‘Bakuna Bus’ to help Zamboanga City in vaccination effort


ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Philippine Red Cross has deployed the Bakuna Bus in Zamboanga City in line with its aim to help improve the government’s vaccination effort.

The mobile Bakuna Bus was launched on Monday during a flag ceremony at the Zamboanga City Hall.

The bus will be deployed to far flung barangays for two weeks to inoculate residents in these areas against Covid-19.

Zamboanga mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Miravite and Zamboanga Red Cross chief Josephine Fernandez, Project Bakuna head Mylene Baidiango inspected the bus prior to its deployment.

Climaco expressed her gratitude to the Philippine Red Cross for bringing Bakuna Bus in the city.

She believes the project will certainly help improve the city’s vaccination efforts.
