Muntinlupa Mayor Fresnedi urges people to vote for Robredo

Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi has urged the public to vote for Leni Robredo as president in the May 9 national and local elections.

(All candidates for president in the national government are qualified. If they are elected, all can do something for our country. We will not distinguish among those who aspire for the duty in national positions),” Fresnedi told city officials and employees.”

But he said Muntinlupa needs a president like Robredo who can readily and immediately help in times of need.

(But what is important is when the time comes that we need the help of a president. What is important is a president that we not only know but who also knows us),” he said.

(When the time comes that you need immediate action, who are we going to turn to? I promise you, if we will help VP Leni, I promise you that we will have a ‘direct line’ to her office).”

Fresnedi was one of the first mayors to support Robredo when she declared her candidacy for president last year.

The mayor is running for congressman in the lone district of Muntinlupa. He is in his third and last term as mayor.

Fresnedi topped the survey for congressman of Muntinlupa conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) from April 17 to 21.

In the survey, Fresnedi garnered 82 percent compared to five percent for his rival Silverio Garing.
