Based on the latest data, Region IV-A has the most number of early registrants with 300,401 learners followed by Region VII with 299, 801, and Region V with 264, 407.

DepEd said that Early Registration is an annual activity conducted by DepEd to ensure that incoming Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and 11 learners register ahead of the opening of the incoming school year.

This activity is conducted to help the agency “better anticipate and deal with the possible challenges and concerns” for the next SY.

In the current school year, DepEd data showed that there were 7.4 million enrollees in these grade levels.

Last week, DepEd bared its proposed school calendar for SY 2022-2023 which indicated that the new school year might start in August.
