The Grand Finals of the PBA 3x3 second conference is set to finally resume Wednesday, April 27 with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Platinum Karaoke wrapping up pool play at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Ginebra and Platinum begin the resumption at 3 p.m., exactly a week after the halfcourt competition’s finale was halted due to a fire that broke out inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Five pool matches have already been completed, with Pool A teams Sista and Pioneer Pro Tibay securing quarterfinal berths while the two remaining slots from Pool B will be known after the Ginebra-Platinum match.

Ginebra holds a 1-0 record while Platinum has a 0-1 slate after facing Terrafirma, which is waiting for its fate after going 1-1.

A win by Ginebra will send the former and Terrafirma into the quarterfinals while Platinum can advance with a win, depending on the final score.

Action immediately heads to the quarterfinals following the match, with first conference champion Limitless facing Pioneer.

Limitless, composed of Brandon Rosser, Jorey Napoles, Marvin Hayes and Reymar Caduyac, is aiming for back-to-back conference championships before shifting its focus on preparations for next month’s Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

San Miguel Beer, which won two legs, faces the second placer of Pool B, Meralco battles Sista and TNT plays the top team of Pool B.

The second conference champion will receive the top purse of P750,000.
