Quick tips on using the Comelec’s Precinct Finder

Comelec has recently launched the Precinct Finder for registered voters to check their polling precinct.

You will first be asked for your location, if you are in the Philippines or overseas. After that, you will be asked for your name and place of registration.

However, there are some instances where registered voters are receiving the “No Record Found” page. In this case, the Comelec has urged voters to visit their nearest branches to double check their status.

But before you do, it might be worth trying out a couple of things first, in case you haven’t yet.

Try changing the spelling of your name. For instance, Maria to Ma and vice-versa. The same goes for Junior and Jr.

Punctuation appears to be as important. Someone the MB TechLab knows personally kept getting the “No Record Found” page when typing “Ma” and finally found her information only after adding a period right after “Ma.”

If all else fails, send Comelec an email:  [email protected] or [email protected].
