Fnatic tops DPC SEA Spring Tour, qualifies to Stockholm Major with Boom, T1


SEA region powerhouse Fnatic topped the DPC SEA Tour II with a convincing 2-0 victory over Boom Esport in the tie-breaker for the No. 1 spot on Sunday, April 24.

Fnatic rode the momentum of a dominant Game 1 win behind the stellar performances from Filipino stars Armel “Armel” Tabios and Marco Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto before cruising in the series clincher to win the second tour title and the $30,000 top price and 400 DPC points.

The team also qualified to the ESL One Stockholm Major which fires off May 12 along with this tour’s second and third placers.

Armel finished with a near-perfect 13-1-13 KDA on the Windranger while Raven had a 6-1-18 showing on the Medusa to help Fnatic draw the series’ first blood, 30-18.

Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong then took over in Game 2 exploding for an 11-5-14 line on the Timbersaw while Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla provided support with a 2-2-21 line on the Treant Protector. Fnatic won Game 26-22.

Boom Esports, which ruled the regional finals in the first tour, settled for a runner-up finish and bagged $28,000 prize and 240 DPC points. T1, on the other hand, finished third, dominating Polaris Esports, 2-0, in the tie-breaker for third spot. It took home $27,000 and 160 DPC points.

Meanwhile, Filipino teams OB Esports x Neon and Execration will be relegated to the Division II in the next tour after finishing in the bottom of the standings with identical 1-6 records.
