Yuka Saso carded a five-under-par 66, but it was only enough to put her at joint 17th at the close of the DIO Implant LA Open in Los Angeles, California over the weekend.
Saso fired seven birdies – including five at the back nine – against two bogeys to finish with a four-round total of 281, 12 strokes behind eventual champion Nasa Hataoka.

The reigning US Women’s Champion appeared in control of her game by blasting three birdies in the first six holes, until she stumbled with bogeys on the seventh and 10th.

With her feat, Saso went home with $18,461 (around P968,000).
Hataoka, meanwhile, blew hot throughout the 72-hole tournament, shooting a second straight 67 on her last round to finish with a 269 aggregate and capture the crown.
The Japanese, who also pocketed the $225,000 cash purse (around P11.7 million) posted earlier rounds of 67 and 68.
Hannah Green scored a 68 to finish behind Hataoka by five strokes at 274, while Madelene Sagstrom, Minjee Lee and Inbee Park tied for third with identical 277s.
