READ: Wife responds to viral appreciation post of husband

She breaks her silence

"Once and for all, 'eto na!," Mhei Nodado started in her Facebook post, tagging her husband Mark. What started out as a positive trending post by Mark became a toxic viral one, even leading to debates among netizens. For those who haven't read the original post, click this link.

"The problem with some people is that they are too quick to judge. Never will I ever exchange my life now to anything. I married a great guy. Yes, he is not perfect, but he is a great one. He is responsible, appreciative, loving, soft-hearted, generous, and the best there is," Mhei continues.

"Some say stuff castigating him, saying as if they had known him from the start. But, may I ask you, have you ever been married? Have you had children of your own? Or even, do you know him, me, us? No one deserves harsh words based on a single post which actually meant to appreciate your wife."

Being under fire, it was but natural for the couple to make a stand. "Ako. kase, this is me lang ha, as a mom, I am and always be willing to take care of my children and stay at home. That is why I chose this profession where I can work and be with my children, 24 hours a day, most days of the week. And with that, I am just so grateful to have the chance to do so, because I married a great guy who is so responsible and never forces me to work full time."

She then talked about why she decided to evaluate her life now, 10 years since she graduated. "With regards naman dun sa '10 years na pala akong graduate parang wala pa kong personal achievements,' I just felt down a little. But it was not his fault! It was my hormones kicking in! Alam niyo iyan, girls! Don't deny it, especially when it is the day of the month."

Mark also included in his post some inside jokes about married life, to which Mhei answered back, "Annnnd, omg, even yung inside joke namin about the toilet and stuff, you took it literally."

And with regards to her achievements, "Maybe iba iba lang ang measurement of success ng bawat tao. And with mine, na-downgrade ko sarili ko. I have my achievements. I have awards from being a financial advisor, I co-own a business of which I am a Chief Finance Officer. I have my own businesses, too! But above all, the best achievement, I am a mom, I am a wife, and I am loved."

She ends the post by thanking everyone who supported them the past few days, "To our families, friends, acquaintances, even those who are mommies like me who sent us messages, we all appreciate you! Thank you!" She adds another line "To all the moms out there, whether full-time moms, working moms, kudos to you! We are doing a great job and let us all uplift everyone. Let's share positivity!"

She also included a series of screenshots form past Facebook posts by her husband, revealing their happy life together through the years.
