The MPL Philippines Season 9 will finally open its doors to its legion of fans when action resumes in the playoffs on April 28 to May 1 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.
Fans who want to witness the epic showdown between the top MPL teams can score four-day ticket passes by telling why they are the league's biggest fans. Interested individuals can send their responses to a post in the MPL PH’s official Facebook page.
Eight fans will get a chance to win two general audience tickets while one lucky winner can have two VIP tickets.
"We are excited to finally welcome our fans to the MPL PH Season 9 Playoffs. We hope to provide our loyal fans with action-packed live matches and a chance to see their favorite teams, while strictly adhering to the health and safety protocols," says Tonyo Silva, Esports Senior Marketing Manager for the Philippines.
Winners will be announced on April 23.
Participants will be asked to bring valid identification cards (IDs) and proof of vaccination. Antigen tests and temperature checks will be conducted daily by health and security officers. Attendees will also be required to sign a health declaration form upon entry.
No tickets will be for sale for the live event but the fans can still rally behind their favorite teams as the playoff games will also be shown in the big screen in select SM Cinemas. Tickets are priced at 170 pesos which includes popcorn and Mobile Legend freebies.
A clash between ECHO and Omega ushers in the first-round of the playoffs in the opening day in April 28 at 4 p.m before a huge collision between Onic Philippines and Nexplay Evos follows suit at 7 p.m.
Winner of the opening day matches will face the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds RSG Philippines and TNC Pro Team in the upper bracket semis the next day.
The top two teams will represent the Philippines to the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in June.
