Presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, April 20, told Barry Gutierrez, spokesperson of Vice President Leni Robredo, to let his “boss” speak for herself.

This after Gutierrez said in a recent statement that there were no “active efforts” from their camp to talk with other presidential candidates and ask them to withdraw, and forge formal alliances with Robredo.

“Barry, tabi ka na sa gedli (gilid] (side). Pagsalitaan mo yung amo mo. Pagsalitain mo amo mo o baka hindi pa mabasa? Kailangan nyo ng teleprompter? (Barry, step aside and let your boss speak. Let her speak. Does she need a teleprompter?),” Domagoso said in an ambush interview during his visit in Bohol.

“Barry huwag kang magsinungaling. Baka hindi mo alam ang ginagawa ng amo mo. Ako challenge ko sa kanila yan (Barry, don’t be a liar. Maybe you don’t know what your boss is doing. Now that’s my challenge to you) Now tell me if I’m lying then I’ll show you proof.”

In a tweet, Gutierrez quoted a news tweet reporting Domagoso’s latest statement and replied with a simple “K”.

In a joint press conference on Sunday, April 17, Domagoso had asked Robredo to "make the supreme sacrifice" and "withdraw" from the presidential race.
