Mayor Olivarez recognizes CESU's hard work


Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez acknowledged the hard work of the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) in bringing down the confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the city to nine.

During the regular virtual flag raising ceremony on Monday, April 18, Dr. Darius Sebastian, CESU head, reported that on Sunday, April 17, their office recorded zero new case of Covid-19.

The mayor said 10 barangays in the city recorded zero case, six with one case each, while Merville has three.

Olivarez said the CESU team is not only working for the city in the scientific data gathering to fight Covid-19 but also helped in training the other CESU from Davao City, Palawan, Samar and other cities in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The mayor commended CESU for its involvement in the community immunization through Mobile Vaccination Program (MVP) against Covid-19 in coordination with the External Affairs Homeowners Association (EHAO) under Eva Nono, and Ospital ng Paranaque (OSPAR) director Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan.
