As of late last night, it was reported that tropical depression Agaton was lashing parts of Leyte and Samar with strong winds and heavy rains, while spawning flash floods in many places. So far, six have been reported missing, and a group of local tourists was rescued in Leyte. Damage and casualty reports from other parts of eastern Visayas are still being awaited.
Classes in all levels, as well as work in government and private institutions were also suspended.
Meanwhile, Filipinos all over the world started voting for the local and national elections on Sunday, April 10, 2022, with the voting center in Hong Kong reaching its limit as early as noon.
The government will also start to field more than 500 buses to provide free rides anew to health workers and the so-called authorized persons out of residence (APORs) starting today.
