1 dead, 4 injured in Sta. Cruz fire

One person died while four others were injured after a fire broke out at a residential area in New Antipolo Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Sunday morning, April 3.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire was raised to first alarm at around 7:07 a.m. and reached the second alarm at around 7:11 a.m.

The fire was declared under control at 9:22 a.m. and was put out at 11:04 a.m.

Around 80 families were affected and displaced by the fire. Affected residents are currently staying at the barangay center.

Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause and origin of the blaze and the cost of fire damage, the BFP said.
