New non-invasive fine line and wrinkle treatment at the Aivee Clinic

I’ve been out on the field a lot these past few months, in the sun at all hours of the day, with almost no time to pay attention to skincare, except for sunscreen.

Had been noticing some sagging in my jowls and tiny lines cropping up that hadn’t been there before, so when I got a call from the Aivee Clinic to try out their newest treatment of choice for fine lines I happily accepted.

Dr. Aivee Teo and Dr. Z Teo with the Aivee Sofwave

Aivee Sofwave is 100 percent non-invasive and has no downtime. My treatment took an hour, 30 minutes for application of emla, an anesthetic cream, and 30 minutes for the actual Sofwave treatment.

I must admit I have a very low threshold for pain, so I had been prepared to grit my teeth and bear it, so was pleasantly surprised that save for a few jolts of heat on the chin and forehead, the treatment was uneventful overall. The mixture of heat from the wand and cold from an ice pack was manageable, and before I knew it, it was over quicker than I’d expected.

The Aivee Softwave treatment is the latest in 3D ultrasound technology in skin lifting and tightening, and the first in the Philippines to offer this non-surgical treatment for both. It comes with a double U.S. FDA clearance.

It helps reduce wrinkles and refreshes the skin using the Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB). As guided ultrasound beams target the skin at just the right depth, the heat energy produced stimulates collagen production for a smoother, more lifted appearance. Fine lines become less noticeable, eyebrows and lax skin are more lifted, and skin gets an overall tightening. Actresses including Sharon Cuneta, Bea Alonzo, Nadine Lustre, and Erich Gonzales have all tried the Aivee Sofwave that adds to their special glow.

In my case, I saw an instant lifting effect on my cheeks and a contouring of the chin, and felt a tightening with an elasticity and suppleness I had not felt since I turned golden a few years back.

For those with busy schedules, the icing on the cake is that the effects are long lasting, so only one to two treatments are needed per year.

I did my treatment at the A Institute in Bonifacio Global City, but it’s also available at the original Aivee Clinic Fort and the Aivee Clinic at Commercenter Alabang, with skilled board-certified dermatologists who carefully assess what particular treatments your skin needs. What a pleasant Saturday morning indeed.
