Choco Mucho outplayed PLDT with a 25-21, 23-25, 29-31, 25-15, 15-11 victory Tuesday to barge into the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

Kat Tolentino fired all her 19 points at the attack line to power the Flying Titans and book a Final Four meeting with sister team Creamline Cool Smashers.

“It was a tough one, but we’re just glad we survived it,” said Tolentino post-match.

Tied at 8-all in the deciding frame, Tolentino spearheaded an assault along with Isa Molde before taking advantage of PLDT’s erratic plays for matchpoint, 14-9.

The Flying Titans squandered two matchpoint before sealing the win and inching closer to the crown.

The best-of-three semis will start on Friday.

Molde provided reinforcements with 18 points built on 14 kills, three blocks and one ace, while Aduke Ogunsanya added 12 points highlighted by five blocks.

Choco Mucho survived PLDT’s 10 aces with Denden Revilla posting 28 digs.

Deanna Wong also took the spotlight with 30 excellent sets on top of two points.
