Cignal and Creamline gun semifinal berths Monday when they clash with separate foes in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

Enjoying twice-to-beat advantages, the HD Spikers collide with the BaliPure Water Defenders at 3 p.m. while the Cool Smashers square off with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at 6 p.m. before an expected huge crowd for the first time since the pandemic.

Organizers are opening the matches to the public starting these matchups with fans needing to present their vaccination IDs before entering the venue.

Apart from drawing strength from the expected loud cheers from the crowd, Cignal and Creamline also aim to extend their unbeaten runs.

The HD Spikers are riding on the crest of a four-game winning streak to finish on top of Pool A in the group stage, while the Cool Smashers boast of three straight victories to rule Pool B.

But BaliPure and Chery Tiggo are slated to give it all to force a do-or-die match for the Final Four tickets.

Out to lead BaliPure against Cignal’s dynamic trio of Rachel Daquis, Ces Molina and Roselyn Doria are Janine Marciano, Jho Maraguinot and Alina Bicar.

Chery Tiggo, meanwhile, will have Mylene Paat, Dindin Manabat and Jasmine Nabor to go up against Creamline’s Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos and Jema Galanza.

BaliPure has yet to win a match after finishing with a 0-3 mark in Pool B of the group stage, while Chery Tiggo finished the preliminaries with a 1-3 card in Pool A.
