Corporate Cup gets underway on March 29

Around 50 teams will vie for top divisional honors – not to mention the bragging rights – when the Corporate Cup returns on March 29 at the Camp John Hay Golf Club.

Organizers expect the three-day event that will gather more than 200 top corporate people to be explosive but fun-filled considering the event was shelved last year due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The field will be divided into six divisions – Groups I to IV and Seniors I and II. Team classification will be based on the average of the three January handicap indices of the team. No team will be allowed to field more than 1 player with handicap index of 5.0.

Local Baguio teams, including Group 1 winner and host Camp John Hay Golf Club and Seniors 1 champion Pugo Adventure are expected to defend their titles.

CJHGC General Manager Jude Eustaquio said they limited the number of teams to adhere to the health and safety protocols set by the local government unit of Baguio City and the Inter Agency Task Force.

“Everyone’s excited and looking forward to a grand week of non-stop friendly but fierce competition, camaraderie and good times. Even before we opened the registration, I saw the enthusiasm in them,” said Eustaquio.

The Manor and Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay, Le Chef, Federal Management and Maintenance, Tobi Group of Companies, Bishop Carlito Cenzon Foundation, The Turf Company, GAC Motors, JTen Sports, Baguio Country Club, Manila Southwoods, Valley Golf, Sherwood Hills and Eagle Ridge are sponsors.
