EXPLORING BAYANIHAN The Philippine Pavilion at the 2021 Venice Biennale focuses on the Filipino culture of working together

Following the triumph of “Structures of Mutual Support” at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021, and in an effort to sustain the Philippine Pavilion’s endeavors to define and reshape contemporary architecture, an open call has been announced for curatorial proposals for the Philippine participation at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia in 2023.

The pandemic has reconfigured our perspective on living, living spaces, and living with others.

This call encourages proponents to develop a concept for an exhibition that actively addresses the life-changing impact of the pandemic. The latter has reconfigured our perspective on living, living spaces, and living with others. It is hoped that proposals inspire further thinking on architectural practice that is rooted in sustainability and responsive to concerns on safety, health, and the wellbeing of the people and the environment.

Deadline of submission is on June 30, 2022. Results will be announced on or before July 20, 2022. Visit https://philartsvenicebiennale.org/ to find out more about submission policies and guidelines.
