The provincial government acknowledges that pink also symbolizes hope and love -- hope for sustained progress, and love for peace, justice, and dignity.

Meanwhile, the Most Distinguished Tau Omega Mu Fraternity and Its Ladies' Circle - UEP Chapter (TOM UEP) will hold a Pink Kite Flying Competition in support of the celebration and to mark the opening of the summer season.

The competition is open to everyone of all ages, gender, and status on March 28 at the UEP Amphitheatre.

As the event denotes, pink must be the dominant color of the kite. Participants will be given the discretion to decide the size and the design of their kite.
