The Jordan Brand welcomed Ateneo as the first university in Southeast Asia and the only school outside of the United States to be part of its Family of College Programs.

The women's basketball team, likewise, will be designated a women's specific fit for each member while its junior cagers are also part of the partnership program.

"It’s exciting to announce Jordan Brand’s only university partnership outside of North America, because there are few places in the world where basketball culture shows up like it does in Manila," said Craig Williams, Jordan Brand President.

"It is so crucial to invest in young people, and in partnership with Ateneo de Manila University, we can inspire young people through our shared love of the game."

Former Ateneo standout Kiefer Ravena, two-time UAAP champion and back-to-back Most Valuable Player, for his part, said the partnership is a "step in the right direction" especially for the exposure given to women's sports and Filipina athletes themselves.

"The growth of the Jordan family from one athlete to a team shows the Brand’s commitment to building a community in the Philippines and a long-term commitment to investing in youth," said Ravena, who was named ambassador of the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) last October 2020.

Along with the partnership with Ateneo Basketball, Jordan Brand is set to launch a series of products and services exclusive for members at Jordan Manila located at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

Viewing parties for select UAAP games and Jordan Flight Camps, a basketball skills development clinic, will also be conducted.

The Blue Eagles are set to open their four-peat campaign when they clash with fellow Katipunan-based squad University of the Philippines on opening day at 4 p.m.
