Ponce said the health center is “not new but almost new as this underwent a major renovation” that was funded by the DOH.

“This is part of our efforts to uplift the delivery of health services in our municipality,” he said.

Ponce said studies are being conducted to establish a dialysis center at the M. R. Flores Health Center.

He said starting March 23, all the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and antigen tests will be done at the renovated health center.

Sudiacal said that with Metro Manila now under Alert Level 1, the Pateros municipal government should refocus and restrategize in the implementation of health programs.

“This health facility is excellent and with quality services, I am sure, with our competent health workers, but it will not be of use if you will not avail of the services. Go back and listen to our health workers,” she said.

Ponce is hoping that the country is now at the tail end of its fight against the Covid-19 pandemic but expressed concern over the surge in cases in neighboring countries.

“We are not yet assured because there is a surge in our neighboring countries. We are hopeful that we are finished with the problem. But we advise everyone to continue to take care,” he said.
