10 PUJs using expired certificate of confirmation caught in Cagayan


CAGAYAN -- Authorities are advising motorists to follow the guidelines being implemented by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Region 2 (LTFRB) concerning health protocols or face consequences of being penalized and vehicles impounded.

The reminder came after LTFRB Reg 2 personnel apprehended violators in Iguig, Cagayan, Maddarulug, Solana, Cagayan and Ilagan City, Isabela.

The LTFRB Region 2 under the leadership of Regional Director Edward L. Cabase said the agency will continue to fulfill its mandate on monitoring the public utility vehicles amid the pandemic.

The monitoring activities are to ensure the strict implementation of health protocols inside Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) as provided under the LTFRB Guidelines.

In Maddarulug, Solana, Cagayan, four units of PUJs were apprehended for using expired Certificate of Confirmation and not having QR code.

In Ilagan City, Isabela, four units of PUJs were also apprehended for using expired Certificate of Confirmation and for not wearing uniform.

In Iguig, Cagayan, two units of utility vehicles (UVe) were caught using expired Certificates of Confirmation.
