Kit Thompson's agency issues new statement


Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. has released another statement concerning their talent, Kit Thompson, who was arrested in Tagaytay Friday for allegedly detaining and hurting his girlfriend, actress Ana Jalandoni.

"We take this opportunity to clarify that our earlier statement was issued with no knowledge of any specific details as we were in receipt only of general allegations. Neither were we privy to any photos of the incident," they related.

It added: "In this delicate situation, we subscribe to the sound discretion of law enforcement and allow the wheels of justice to take its course."

Recall that when the news broke, the agency released this:

“We have just been informed that one of our artists, Mr. Kit Thompson, was allegedly involved in an incident that transpired last night in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

“As we have yet to receive a formal report regarding the alleged incident, we could not give a response nor comment on the matter.

“However, we request the public to be mindful of casting judgment based on unfounded reports being circulated online.”

Prior, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has vowed to dig deep into the controversial incident involving the celebrity lovers.

“The PNP continues to monitor the condition of the lady victim after the rescue operation. The suspect, actor Kit Thompson, has been arrested at inihahanda na po ang mga ebidensya for possible filing of charges," PB Gen. Roderick Augustus B. Alba said in a statement.

“We do not condone any act of violence, especially against women. As we celebrate the Women’s Month, we couldn’t stress enough the inherent role of the PNP to protect the rights of every woman in society," he added. “We vow to conduct a full, fair and transparent investigation.”
