The package came from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and arrived in Port of Clark last March 12, 2022.

As a matter of procedure, the packages passed the X-ray machine and field testing using the Rigaku Progeny.

The authorities discovered 31 translucent plastic pouches containing white crystalline substance weighing 1,000 grams. It was learned that the packages containing shabu were concealed inside the cavity of toy figures.

This prompted the authorities to launch a controlled delivery operation to arrest the claimant of the hot item.

Behind the concerted effort of PDEA Central Luzon, Clark Inter Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group, Bureau of Customs Port of Clark, PDEA NCR NDO, and Philippine National Police (PNP) units, the authorities were able to corner the lady claimant and confiscated the illegal drugs during the operation.

The consignee was identified as Charlene Nworisa y Zabala who is residing at Villa Crystal Phase 1, Bagumbong Dulo, Caloocan City.

The lady claimant is now facing charges for violation of section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165.
