LAGUNA — Authorities accosted 10 individuals engaging in an illegal card game locally known as tong-its on Saturday, March 12.
Los Baños Municipal Police Station held an anti-gambling operation in Purok 1, Barangay Bayog, where they arrested Olympio Basco, Nicolas Macapua, Mauro Macapua, Estelita Mateo, Imelda Ocho, and Wenceslao Tandang.
In a separate operation by Santa Cruz Municipal Police Station at Sitio 3, Barangay Bagumbayan, police nabbed Roberto Villaflores, Edgar Tabios, Gabriel Valdez Jr, and Herminio Espiritu.
Authorities confiscated three sets of playing cards and P1,856 worth of betting money. The suspects are facing illegal gambling raps.
