5 nabbed, P1.3M worth of shabu seized in San Juan buy-bust


Operatives of the San Juan City Police Station (CPS) seized P1.3 million worth of illegal drugs from five individuals in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Ermitaño, San Juan City on Friday, March 11.

Col. Elpidio Ramirez, the chief of police of the San Juan CPS, identified the suspects as Cresencia De Dios, 64; Anthony Tuazon, 23; Haron Bangaran, 34; Jalani Matud, 26; and Lenith Buenaflor, 31.

The operatives arrested the suspects upon conducting the undercover transaction at around 3:20 p.m. in a condominium located along N. Domingo St., Barangay Ermitaño, San Juan City.

Police recovered 15 plastic sachets containing some 200 g of suspected shabu with a market value of P1,360,000, as well as a single P1,000 bill.

The evidence was brought to the forensic laboratory for further examination and confirmation.

The suspects are in the custody of the San Juan CPS and will be charged with violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
