Fair weather over most of PH; trough of LPA affects Mindanao – PAGASA

A fair weather condition is expected in most parts of the country due to the easterlies or warm and humid winds from the Pacific Ocean. Meanwhile, the trough of low pressure area (LPA) spotted outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) affects Mindanao, the State weather bureau said.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin, on Saturday, March 5, said that the easterlies continues to affect most parts of the country.

A warm and humid weather prevails over the said areas, especially in southern Luzon and Visayas. In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, expect a fair weather condition with a slight chance of isolated rain showers in the next 24 hours),” said Bulquerin in a public weather forecast.

Meanwhile, the trough of LPA, according to Bulquerin, affects Mindanao.

The trough of LPA affects Mindanao. This weather disturbance is less likely to further develop into a tropical cyclone, but it may bring rain showers in the Visayas and Mindanao),” he added.

No gale warning is in effect over the country’s seaboards. Fisherfolk and seafarers are free to sail, said Bulquerin.
